Canada's Biologik, who we've had the pleasure of showcasing numerous times on Silk Textures, is about to launch a new artist album on Silk Sofa. The first single, "Rainfall", is a perfect introduction to the album, and the song is accompanied by two intelligent interpretations from Rod V and Damian L.

The Original Mix starts off with an intriguing atmosphere, including a vast array of captivating sound effects and electronica-inspired synth layers. The background melodies unite remarkably well with the more prominent breakbeat, and the variations added to all the elements throughout the song are sure to ignite the listener's interest. Silk Sofa is proud to welcome back Guatemalan artist Rod V, who we last saw with his acclaimed remix of Puremusic's "Sunray Kiss". His interpretation of "Rainfall" starts off with a glitchy breakbeat, accompanied by mesmerizing background stabs and lush pad layers. The well-crafted bassline elegantly creates a unique groove, which is well supported by subtle arpeggio lines. From Poland comes Damian L, a new addition to the label. His remix takes off in the same manner as the original, but we are soon met by a darker atmosphere and a delicate breakbeat. Later, intricate synths and background effects are added, which unmistakably support the atmosphere from the original quite well.
